King of YouTube plants 20+ Million Trees (Influencer marketing)

In 2019, Mr Beast (YouTube) to celebrate his YouTube channel reaching 20 million decided to team up with Mark Rober (youtuber) and Arbor Day foundation to raise 20 million dollars by the end of the year that pledges to plant one tree for every dollar donated and the movement was called as “Team Tree”. Team tree might have started from two youtubers but it has bought together millions of people who believed in the same cause was possible with the help of social media platform such as YouTube and Facebook.






Social media in the current day and age has immense influence on the people, With 2.8 billion and 2.3 billion people actively using Facebook and YouTube. The platforms provides a robust way of reaching out to billions of people, thus making content creator on such platforms a great way to be utilized as Digital Marketing for the Not-For-Profit sector.


Let’s take a look at the 5 steps to successfully use influencer marketing:


1. Setting up a goal

As a famous phrase goes” you cannot achieve what you cannot conceive‘’. Setting up an achievable goal is important.


2. Budgeting

Making a budget is important as it not only saves cost and ease propagations but also helps in putting excesses in check and prevents for diverting from the proposed track.


3. Guideline for collaboration

Here it is important to determine the people you are going to work with and to have a clear understanding of the terms and conditions. Setting up rules will help in achieving the goals faster and also keep the quality of the campaign in check.


4. Selection of medium for the campaign

There are different medium that can be used for a digital marketing campaign, such as E-mail marketing, social media marketing and Pay-Per-Click advertising.


5. Launce

After enough research and evaluation has been made at this stage, you can go ahead and launch the campaign.
