Understanding digital marketing trends to better meet customer needs

As technology and customer consumption patterns continue to evolve, modern digital marketing trends are changing very quickly🎢, creating new opportunities and challenges for companies to improve customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Digital marketing trends play a role in guiding companies to achieve their goals in this changing environment (Preniqi, et al., 2020). In order for companies to understand the trends in digital marketing and strategically implement digital marketing campaigns, the following digital marketing trends need to be taken into account😊.



1. Changes in content marketing

The development of TikTok is influencing the change in social media formats from images to short videos. According to data, TikTok has a total of 1.2 billion active monthly users and spends an average of about 52 minutes a day on the app (Aslam, 2021), indicating a high level of interest in short-form video content. This shows that companies should not only focus on the value of TIKTOK but also on enriching and quality content in line with the trend.


2. The use of artificial intelligence

More and more businesses are using chatbots to address customer service needs (Preniqi, et al., 2020) to improve the efficiency of handling queries on social media channels or other online platforms. Artificial intelligence (AI) has given chatbots real personalities rather than simply mechanical communication via social media, which allows customers to enjoy a personalised and enjoyable consumer experience, prompting consumers to be more willing to interact and provide high-value feedback and information.


3. Personalised marketing

According to a report by SmarterHQ, 72% of consumers say they now only engage with marketing messages that are personalised and tailored to their interests (Donnelley, 2022). Each user is exposed to a large number of ads each day, and it is personalised ads that truly capture the attention of users and meet customer needs. Companies need to improve the personalised search engines in line with customer needs and changing keywords, thereby increasing user loyalty and brand awareness.


Companies must embrace change, constantly monitor digital marketing trends and changing consumer preferences, so as to adapt the strategies to ensure reach consumers in the right way🎉.
